Field settings for a left-hand batter

For a left-hand batter the off side and the leg side swap sides on the field. Every position stays the same in name, but it sits on the opposite side of the pitch, so a field that suits a right-hander has to be mirrored.

This mirroring is the most common mistake in club cricket. The captain calls "extra cover", the fielder walks to the wrong side, and the gap stays open. Showing the field on a diagram makes the swap obvious to everyone.
